The Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for a food delivery app should focus on core functionality that allows for basic order placement and delivery while gathering crucial user feedback.

Key Features:

User Registration/Login: Simple and intuitive user registration and login process. (In MVP) Restaurant Search: Basic search functionality to find restaurants by name, cuisine, or location. (In MVP) Restaurant Menus: Display menus with item names, descriptions, and prices. (In MVP) Order Placement: Allow users to select items, customize orders (e.g., add-ons, modifications), and place orders. (In MVP) Order Tracking: Basic order tracking with estimated delivery time. (In MVP) Payment Gateway: Integration with a secure payment gateway (e.g., credit/debit cards, digital wallets). (In MVP) Driver Assignment: Assign orders to nearby delivery drivers. (In MVP) Basic Customer Support: Provide a basic customer support channel (e.g., in-app chat, email). (In MVP) 

Features Excluded from MVP:

Advanced Filtering: Complex filtering options (e.g., dietary restrictions, budget range). Loyalty Programs: Discount programs, reward points, or referral bonuses. Push Notifications: Promotional notifications, order updates, and marketing messages. In-app Chat with Drivers: Real-time communication with delivery drivers. Order History: Detailed order history with re-order options. Ratings and Reviews: Restaurant and driver ratings and reviews. 

Reasoning:

The MVP focuses on core functionalities to validate the core value proposition: convenient and reliable food delivery. Excluded features can be iteratively added based on user feedback and market demand.

A/B Test Ideas:

"People You May Know" Algorithm: Control: Current algorithm. Variation 1: Prioritize mutual friends, work colleagues, and school connections. Variation 2: Incorporate user interests and activities (e.g., groups, pages, events) to suggest connections. Friend Suggestions in Different Sections: Control: Current placement of friend suggestions (e.g., sidebar). Variation 1: Integrate friend suggestions into the News Feed. Variation 2: Display friend suggestions within relevant groups or pages. Call to Action: Control: Standard "Add Friend" button. Variation 1: "Connect" button with a more personalized message. Variation 2: "Send a Connection Request" button with a preview of shared interests. 

Metrics to Track:

Friend Requests Sent: Number of friend requests initiated by users. Friend Requests Accepted: Number of friend requests accepted by other users.
